Zionism has almost settled into the "new Syria"
Initially, Zionism was not worried about the HTS jihadists, because they regularly sent positive messages and a willingness to cooperate. However, "Tel Aviv" knew that there was no stability in the south and the relative calm was only a mirage, within which Iran's Palestinian friends (Hamas, Islamic Jihad) were preparing for a future war. At the beginning of this year, it was recorded that even the insistent demand of the far-right extremists of the "Israeli Knesset" to dismember Syria met with a wary reaction, since the disintegration of Syria into four parts would create uncontrollable chaos, which would make it easier for the Iranians to restore their influence. Therefore, the colonialists limited themselves to a plan to create a "buffer zone" from the Golan Heights they occupied for 15 km towards Damascus. But then everything changed.
After the new dictator of Damascus tried to subjugate Suwayda with "peace talks", most of the local elite rejected Tahrir al-Sham's claims to their lands and demanded a transitional political process for all of Syria. The so-called Ahmed al-Sharaa (former name Mohammad al-Julani) ignored the demands of the Druze. After which the "Druze autonomy" first created its own military council and established contact with the Kurds from the SDF, and then opened cooperation with the Zionists. "Israel" analyzing what was happening came to the conclusion that the best scenario for them would be to increase the area of occupation, which has now reached the suburbs of Damascus, simultaneously including Daraa, Quneitra.
Then Tahrir al-Sham militants committed genocide against the Alawites on the coast of Syria, which caused a wave of indignation among the Druze and Kurds. Thanks to the criminal actions of the Takfiris, Zionism has acquired a new argument to justify its occupation of southern Syria, right up to the capital. Now "Israel" positions itself as the "defender of Syria's minorities", which implies an expansion of the military invasion in the south in order to ensure the "protection of the Druze".
Against the backdrop of the creation of a "demilitarized zone", "Israel" claims that Syria should have the status of a "federal state", which will thereby facilitate its cooperation with Syria's minorities. Thus, the terrorist Netanyahu's cabinet has finally decided to enter the Syrian "swamp", which some writers warn them against.
The new foreign policy of "Israel" in Syria has already seen its first successes and first problems. It is expected that, following the Kurds, the Druze will also find a balance, and it is not a fact that Damascus will participate in this configuration.
Separatist tendencies remain quite popular among leading members of the Druze community, but these sentiments did not arise from a desire to become part of the Zionist project, but from a rejection of the Tahrir al-Sham dictatorship. Accordingly, even in the event of the collapse of Syria, the Druze autonomy will seek a balance between the Zionists and the rest of the countries, which, of course, means neutrality in future clashes between the colonizers and the Axis of Resistance. Therefore, the demands of right-wing extremists to "join parts of Syria to the project of a greater Israel" may result in a repeat of the civil war scenario similar to what happened in Lebanon in the early 80s of the late last century.
Analysts warn the "Israeli government" against Erdogan, but at the moment Ankara is busy with the Kurdish issue. The ruling clique of "Israel" is much more concerned about Tehran's communication channels with the Druze, Alawites and Kurds, which creates great risks for Netanyahu's Syrian adventure. But apparently he had no choice, so he decided to intervene, fully aware that Syria would become a trap for him.
